Gerald A. Schiller is the author of six books and more than a hundred articles, short stories, reviews, and poems.

Born in Philadelphia and educated at both Temple University and UCLA, he has taught classes in English, Cinema, and Creative Writing.

He wrote and directed educational, documentary, and promotional films for many years, including the award-winning documentaries: CHAPLIN - A CHARACTER IS BORN and KEATON: THE GREAT STONE FACE.

He is profiled in the 2003 edition
of Who's Who in America.

Gerry's books include three mysteries: THE MAN WHO DEFIED DEATH, DEADLY DREAMS and DEATH UNDERGROUND; three books for young people: THE DOG THAT BELONGED TO NO ONE, TWO DOGS, AN EMPEROR AND ME, and THE ABRACADABRA KID; and two non-fiction collections of historical incidents from California history: TRUE STORIES OF OLD CALIFORNIA and MORE TRUE STORIES OF OLD CALIFORNIA.

Current projects: a new mystery, and a book for young people about the woman of San Nicolas Island.
